In the heart of West London, the Hartopp & Lannoy Point Passivhaus development is setting new standards for energy-efficient housing. Designed to achieve the highest levels of sustainability, this project consists of 134 high-performance homes built to meet Passivhaus certification standards. By prioritising superior indoor air quality, outstanding thermal comfort, and significantly reduced energy consumption, this landmark development is shaping the future of sustainable living.

The Role of HRV Group in This Innovative Project

At HRV Group, we were proud to be a key contributor to this large-scale project, ensuring that every home was equipped with mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) systems. Our team was responsible for the full installation of 134 Passivhaus-certified MVHR units, carrying out a comprehensive scope of work that included:

  • Complete Ductwork System – Designing and installing a robust and efficient network of ducts to ensure optimal air circulation throughout each home.

  • First Fix & Second Fix – Handling all aspects of installation from the initial stages of construction through to final fittings.

  • Final Commissioning – Testing and optimising each MVHR unit to guarantee airtightness and maximum efficiency in line with Passivhaus standards.

Advanced MVHR and Cooling Solutions

To meet the energy efficiency requirements of the Passivhaus standard, this project featured top-of-the-line ventilation and cooling solutions, including:

  • MVHR Unit: Zehnder ComfoAir Q (Passivhaus Accredited)

  • Cooling Unit: Zehnder ComfoClime

  • Ducting: Domus Rigid PVC Ductwork

By integrating these cutting-edge systems, we ensured that each home benefits from a steady supply of fresh, filtered air while maintaining excellent energy efficiency and thermal comfort.

A Commitment to Sustainability

The Hartopp & Lannoy Point development stands as a testament to the growing importance of sustainable housing in urban areas. With energy costs rising and environmental concerns at the forefront, projects like this highlight the critical role of well-designed ventilation and heating recovery systems in reducing carbon footprints and improving living standards.
